Postpartum Physical Therapy in Austin, TX

Recover with confidence and build strength that lasts. Our expert pelvic floor PTs help Austin moms navigate postpartum healing, regain control, and get back to doing what they loveโ€”without pain, leakage, or fear.

You just grew and delivered a baby

Your body did something incredible. But now you're dealing with the aftermath: leaking when you laugh, back pain that won't quit, a stomach that doesn't feel like yours, or pelvic pressure that makes everyday tasks feel impossible. You might feel disconnected from your body, anxious about working out again, or frustrated that "this is just how it is nowโ€.

You're scared to lift or exercise

You want to get back to running, lifting your toddler, or even just walking without painโ€”but you don't know if it's safe or where to start.

Leaking is stealing your confidence

You're avoiding jumping jacks at the gym, holding in sneezes, and strategically planning bathroom breaks. Incontinence isn't something you should just accept.

Your core doesn't feel like yours

Diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, or lingering abdominal separation have you wondering if you'll ever feel strong and stable again.

  • "Finding Lady Bird PT changed everything. As a group fitness instructor, personal trainer, and lover of movement, having prolapse caused me to lose so much trust in myself and my body. I was scared to do basic movements, carry my daughter, go for walks. From the moment I started working with Becky, I felt seen, safe, and supported. I wasn't just another patientโ€”Becky and the entire office were invested in me finding my way back to myself. I'm now almost 2 years postpartum with my second daughterโ€”a daughter I wouldn't have had if it weren't for Becky and Lady Bird PT helping me gain the physical and mental strength I needed to walk through life with prolapse."

Hear from Our Patients

  • "Exceptional Care and Expertise: A Pelvic Floor Doctor Worth Recommending. I recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Maidansky at Lady Bird Physical Therapy for post-menopausal pelvic floor issues, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received."

    Susan

  • "I was 36 weeks pregnant when I learned pelvic floor PT was a thing that could help you prepare for birth. My OB, doula and massage therapist all recommended Lady Bird PT so I called them in a panic. They got me in the same week. I had no idea how the pelvic floor can affect birth and even though I only had time for two sessions before birth it was so helpful!"

  • "I'm so fortunate to have worked with Lady Bird PT during pregnancy and postpartum! Rebecca is extremely skilled and knowledgeable, and is a fantastic question-asker, listener, and collaborator. By the time my baby arrived, my leakage was like 95% better!"

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can start as early as 3 weeks postpartum. At this initial visit, we don't perform an internal exam, but we can check in with your body, address symptoms, and begin foundational rehab. We typically recommend following up after your 6-week provider check-up. But it's never too lateโ€”whether you're 3 weeks, 3 months, or 30 years postpartum, you can still regain strength and control.

  • Everyone's needs are different, but our clinic average is 6 visits over 3-4 months. Some patients need just one visit, while others benefit from longer care. How often we see you depends on how much hands-on therapy you need versus exercises you can do independently. We typically start with weekly appointments before spacing them out.
