  • "5 stars doesn't even begin to do Lady Bird and Dr. Elizabeth Knoble justice. This place is 100% what prepared me for what ended up being a very smooth and uncomplicated delivery. I work in healthcare myself, and I can confidently say this office exceeds expectations in every way. The staff are highly responsive, it is easy to schedule, and the physical therapists are highly knowledgable and, most importantly, so passionate about their job."

  • "I had the pleasure of working with Becky for nearly four years (after disappointing experiences at two other local practices) and I am so grateful for the top notch care I received at Lady Bird. Every single employee and therapist who works there is warm, caring, skilled, and incredibly professional. After a challenging first delivery Becky got me through a second pregnancy and birth with flying colors and after two kids I'm stronger and in better shape than before I had my first."

    Allie S.

  • "Two words: LIFE-CHANGING! Before starting pelvic floor PT at Ladybird, I had very little understanding of what the pelvic floor even was. Working with Elizabeth has completely shifted my experience. She is an angel on earth! The pain I was dealing with has significantly improved and I'm finally getting back into my regular exercise routine without constant flare-ups. Elizabeth is truly a wealth of knowledge, positivity, and light."

Your Questions Answered

  • Your first visit includes a comprehensive assessment where your therapist will discuss your medical history, current symptoms, and goals. Depending on your comfort level and needs, this may include an external and/or internal pelvic floor evaluation. Your therapist will explain everything beforehand and create a personalized treatment plan. Sessions are one-on-one in a private treatment room, and you're always in control of your care.

  • Texas is a direct access state, which means you don't need a referral to see a physical therapist. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage. We recommend checking with your insurance provider. We also offer free 15-minute consultation calls to discuss your needs and answer questions about getting started.

  • Most insurance plans cover pelvic floor physical therapy when medically necessary. We work with many major insurance providers. Our team can provide a Good Faith Estimate and help you understand your coverage. Contact us at (512) 766-2649 to discuss your specific insurance plan and benefits.

  • You can start pelvic floor physical therapy at any point during pregnancy. Many patients begin in the second or third trimester to prepare for birth, address pregnancy-related pain (like pubic symphysis or SI joint pain), or learn exercises to support their changing body. Earlier is often better for optimal birth preparation, but it's never too late to get support.

  • You can begin pelvic floor PT as soon as you feel ready, whether that's days or months after delivery. For postpartum recovery, we recommend starting within the first 6-12 weeks if possible, but we help patients at any stage postpartum. We treat C-section recovery, vaginal birth recovery, diastasis recti, incontinence, prolapse, and return to exercise at your pace.

  • Yes! We offer virtual visits for patients who prefer telehealth or can't make it to our Austin clinic. Virtual sessions are effective for education, exercise instruction, postpartum recovery guidance, and certain assessments. We also offer in-home visits for added convenience. Contact us to discuss which option is best for your needs.
