Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits

We’re here to help you understand your options.

Lady Bird Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill your insurance company directly. However, if you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for some of the cost of your care.

Many of our patients choose to submit claims to their insurance company for reimbursement, and we're happy to help make the process as straightforward as possible.

What is a superbill?

A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes the billing codes and service information your insurance company needs to process an out-of-network claim. It differs from a traditional receipt which simply shows the cost of what you purchased.

You can submit your superbill directly to your insurance provider. Depending on your specific plan and benefits, the cost of your care may be applied toward your deductible and/or you may receive reimbursement.

How to find your superbills

Your superbills are available anytime through your Lady Bird PT patient portal.

  • Click the Payments tab

  • Scroll and find the appointment you'd like to submit a claim for. Service dates are listed in the far-left column.

  • Click on the appointment, then print or save the invoice to submit with your insurance claim.

Important: There are two invoice sections. Superbills are found in the bottom section.

  • Top section: “Invoices”

    • Non-coded receipts for package purchase transactions

Ø Do not submit any receipts in this section with an insurance claim, even if you purchased a package.

  • Bottom section: “Service/Class and Products Invoices”

    • Coded receipts for individual appointments with proper clinic and billing information required for insurance claims

✓ Submit these invoices to insurance to avoid any delays in processing.

Need to submit multiple visits at once?

You can download multiple invoices at once using the Batch Download button.

  • Select All Invoices or choose a specific date range.

  • Be sure to check the box to exclude package invoices.

  • Download

Your selected invoices will export as individual pages in a .pdf file, and will contain the appropriate billing codes needed for insurance claims.
